$500M Chinese pirate gang busted

A investigation by the FBI and China's Public Security ministry has led to the closure of a $500 million worth piracy gang dealing with counterfeit software. Officials say there has been over twenty arrests related to this case.

There has been a massive investigation for the last couple of years - the FBI's from Los Angeles offical statement says they have been cooperating closely with the Chinese to trap computer pirates.

Pirate rings were discovered in the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Shenzhen, manufacturing and selling illegal copies including Microsoft and Symantec software.
